DWAI Drugs Arrest

On April 18th 2015 at approximately 10:40 PM 22 year old Jesse Dakin of Pittsfield, MA was arrested for DWAI Drugs after a traffic stop on Albany Avenue. He was stopped for failure to dim highbeams. Mr. Dakin was under the influence of marijuana while operating a motor vehicle. He was arraigned before Village Justice Michael Conway and remanded to Rensselaer County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail. His next court appearance date is 5/5/2015 at 6:30 PM.

On April 13th 2015 at approximately 8:50 PM 25 year old Ubec Aymat-Diaz of East Nassau, NY was arrested for Aggravated DWI. Her BAC was 0.21% She was also charged with Escape in the third degree, Obstruction of Governmental Administration in the second degree, Resisting Arrest, and Attempted Assault in the third degree. Ms. Aymat-Diaz was arraigned in Nassau Village Court before Judge Conway and remanded to Rensselaer County Jail in lieu of $7,500 bail. Her next court date is 4/14/2014 at 6:30 PM.

Menacing / Harassment Arrest

On March 11th 2015 at approximately 4:59 PM 63 year old Timothy Laraway of New Lebanon, NY was arrested for menacing and harassment after a domestic incident with his son on the corner of Albany Ave and Elm St. Mr Laraway was arrested on an arrest warrant and arraigned before Judge Conway and released on his own recognizance to appear in Village court on 4/14/2015 at 6:30 PM. An order of protection was issued for the victim.

Criminal Impersonation Arrest

On February 21st 2015 at approximately 9:14 PM Erin Driscoll of Pittsfield, MA was arrested for Criminal Impersonation in the 2nd degree. Ms. Driscoll was a stopped on Church Street for having a headlight out. When stopped, she provided officers with her sisters drivers license in an attempt to prevent officers from determining that her license was suspended. Ms. Driscoll was arrested and processed at Nassau PD and released with tickets on $500 police bail to appear in village court on 3/10/2015 at 6:30 PM. A passenger in the vehicle was ticketed for unlawful possession of marijuana.

Mr Roberts was stopped after a 911 caller stated he had almost hit them head on. Mr. Roberts was under the influence of marijuana while operating a motor vehicle. Obstruction/Resisting/Attempted Assault Arrest

On January 23rd 2015 at approximately 9:45 PM 23 year old Courtney Hutchinson of Niverville, NY was arrested for Obstruction of Governmental Administration in the second degree, Resisting Arrest, Harassment in the second degree and Attempted Assault in the third degree. Ms. Hutchinson was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation on Albany Avenue. Ms. Hutchinson refused to produce her drivers license or registration. When Ms. Hutchinson was being placed under arrest she struck the officer in the face with her fist and phone. Ms. Hutchinson was arraigned in Nassau Village Court before Judge Conway and remanded to Rensselaer County Jail in lieu of $2500 bail. Ms. Hutchinson's next court date is 2/10/2014 at 6:30 PM.

On January 18th 2015 at approximately 12:00AM 31 year old Nicole Oropallo of East Greenbush, NY was arrested for DWI after a traffic stop on Church Street . Ms. Oropallo was stopped for driving with no front passenger tire. She was also charged with leaving the scene of a property damage traffic accident. Mr. Goodhart was stopped for having a headlight out on his vehicle. Mr. Goodhart was under the influence of marijuana while operating a motor vehicle. Mr. Goodhart was processed at Nassau Police Station and released on with traffic tickets and turned over to Rensselaer City Police Department on their warrant. Mr. Goodhart's next court appearance will be 2/10/2015 at 6:30 pm.


False Personation Arrest

On January 10th 2015 at approximately 9:56 PM officers arrested 25 year old Danielle Pantusco of Pittsfield, MA for false personation. Ms. Pantusco was a passenger in a motor vehicle stopped for failing to dim their highbeams on Albany Avenue in the village. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree and was processed and released on $100 police bail with traffic tickets to appear in Nassau Village Court on 2/10/2015 at 6:30 PM. Ms Pantusco provided a false name in an effort to prevent officers from finding out she had a warrant in the Town of Ramapo for DWI. Town of Ramapo PD declined extradition. She was released on $170 police bail with an appearance ticket to appear in Nassau Village Court on 2/10/2015 at 6:30 PM

Felony Aggravated Unlicensed Operation/DWI Arrest

On January 1st 2015 at approximately 3:53 AM officers arrested 30 year old Tanika Curry of Pittsfield, MA on Albany Avenue in the Village of Nassau for Felony Aggravated Unlicensed Operation and DWI. Ms. Curry was stopped for failing to dim high beams on Albany Avenue. Ms. Curry had various suspensions on her license. Ms. Curry failed field sobriety tests and was arrested and processed at Nassau Police Station. Ms. Curry’s BAC was 0.14%, she faces the following charges:

VTL §511-3A –Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st Degree – Class E Felony
VTL §511-2A4 –Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 2nd Degree – Misdemeanor
VTL §1192-2 – DWI per se; .08% or more of alcohol in blood – Misdemeanor
VTL §1192-3 – DWI – Misdemeanor
VTL §509-1– Unlicensed operator – Traffic Infraction
VTL §375-3 – Fail to dim high beams - Traffic Infraction

Mr Curry was arraigned in the Village of Nassau Court by the Honorable Judge Michael Conway and remanded to Rensselaer County Jail in lieu of $7500 bail, her next court appearance will be 1/6/2014 at 6:30 PM.

Felony DWI - Leandra's Law Arrest

On January 1st 2015 at approximately 1:18 AM officers arrested 43 year old Arindam Mukherjee of East Greenbush, New York on Albany Avenue in the Village of Nassau for Felony Aggravated DWI under “Leandra’s law”. Mr. Mukherjee was stopped for speeding on Albany Avenue. Upon stopping the vehicle it was observed there was a juvenile passenger in the vehicle, a 4 year old. Mr. Mukherjee’s BAC was 0.20%, he faces the following charges:

VTL §1192-2AB – Aggravated DWI: With a Child as passenger less 16 years old – Class E Felony
PL §260.10(1) - Endangering the welfare of a child - Class A Misdemeanor
VTL §1192-2AA – Aggravated DWI per se; .18% or more of alcohol in blood – Misdemeanor
VTL §1192-3 –DWI – Misdemeanor
VTL §1180-D – Speed in Zone - Traffic Infraction

Mr Mukherjee was arraigned in the Village of Nassau Court by the Honorable Judge Michael Conway and released on his own recognizance, his next court appearance will be 1/6/2014 at 6:30 PM.

Officer Extinguishes Kitchen Fire

On November 5th, 2014 at approximately 8:15 PM Officer Bunney was dispatched to a multifamily home on Chatham Street for a reported structure fire. The caller stated the toaster oven was on fire and was spreading to the microwave and kitchen cabinets. The occupants were able to get out of the house without incident. Upon arrival Officer Bunney was able to extinguish the fire before it spread to the rest of the house. Fire Investigators will be investigating the cause considering the toaster oven was not being used at the time it caught on fire.

Petit Larceny Arrest

On 11/1/2014 at approximately 1:00 am Amy Beyor of Albany, NY was arrested for Petit Larceny. Ms. Beyor stole an Apple iPhone that was unattended on a table in a village restaurant earlier in the evening. Surveillance video at the establishment caught Ms. Beyor in the act. A patron at the restaurant was able to identify Ms. Beyor from the video. Ms. Beyor was arrested by Nassau Police Officers at her apartment in Albany, NY. Ms. Beyor was processed at Nassau PD and released on $200 police bail with an appearance ticket to appear in Village Court 11/18/2014 at 6:30 PM. Officers returned the iPhone to the owner.

K9 Yazzo of the Village of Nassau Police Department has received a bullet and stab protective vest thanks to the efforts of Vested Interest in K9s, Inc, a Massachusetts based non profit organization.

Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. hosted their third annual "Protecting the Paws in Blue" event on Sunday, September 21 to benefit the Saratoga County Sheriff's Department K9’s Unit. Over $10,400 was raised which will provide bullet and stab protective vests for the 9 Saratoga County Sheriff's K9's, and 1 K9 from the Village of Nassau Police Department.

Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. is a 501c (3) charity located in East Taunton, MA. whose mission is to provide bullet and stab protective vests for law enforcement dogs throughout the United States. Each vest costs $950.00 and has a 5 year warranty. The nonprofit was established in 2009 to assist law enforcement agencies with this potentially life saving body armor for their four legged K9 Officers. Through private and corporate sponsorships, Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. has provided over 1100 law enforcement dogs with protective vests since their inception in August of 2009. Over $1,045,000 in K9 vests have been donated in 39 states including Alaska and Hawaii.

The organization orders the Armor Express vests made in Central Lake, MI exclusively from distributor Regency Police Supply in Hyannis, MA. who also does the custom embroidery on the body armor.

New K9 graduates as well as K9's with expired vests are eligible to apply for the ballistic vests. The program is open to US employed and certified K9's who are at least 19 months of age.

Underage DWI Arrest

On October 19th 2014 at approximately 1:04 AM 18 year old Ryan Tymeson of Averill Park, NY was arrested for DWI after a traffic stop on Chatham Street. Mr. Tymeson was stopped for speeding. Mr Tymeson was also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and endangering the welfare of a child. Mr. Tymeson had a passenger in the vehicle that was 16 years of age. His BAC was 0.08%. He was released with traffic tickets to appear in Nassau Village Court on 11/18/2014 at 6:30PM.

Criminal Impersonation Arrest

On October 11th 2014 at approximately 11:42 PM Joseph Flores of Schenectady, NY was arrested for Criminal Impersonation in the 2nd degree. Mr. Flores was a passenger on a traffic stop on Albany Avenue and provided his brothers name and birthdate to officers in attempt to evade capture on a warrant for his arrest. Mr. Flores was arrested and processed as Nassau PD and turned over to Colonie PD on their warrant. Mr. Flores' next appearance in Nassau Village Court will be on 11/18/2014 at 6:30 PM.




DWI Refusal Arrest

On October 11th 2014 at approximately 5:43 PM 69 year old Berns R. Mimnaugh of Pittsfield, MA was arrested for DWI after a traffic stop on Church Street. Mr. Mimnaugh was stopped for tinted windows. Mr. Mimnaugh failed field sobriety and was arrested for DWI. He also refused to provide a breath sample at the station. Mr. Mimnaugh was arraigned by Village Justice Michael Conway and released on his own recognizance and had his operating privledges suspended pending DMV refusing hearing scheduled for 10/12/2014 at 2:30 PM at the Albany DMV. Mr. Mimnaugh's next appearance will be in Nassau Village Court on 11/18/2014 at 6:30PM.
