DWI Arrest

On December 28th 2013 at approximately 08:58 PM 50 year old John Murray of Guilderland, NY was arrested for DWI after a traffic stop. Mr. Murray was stopped for speeding on Chatham Street in the Village of Nassau, his BAC was 0.09%. Mr. Murray was released with traffic tickets to appear in Nassau Village Court on 01/07/2014 at 6:30PM.

Domestic Violence Arrest

On 12/27/2013 at approximately 10:20 PM officers responded to a domestic dispute on Phillips Street. After on scene investigation 49 year old Roary Shook of Nassau was arrested for Burglary in the 2nd degree, 2 counts of attempted assault in the 3rd degree and endangering the welfare of a child. 54 year old Natalie Davis of Athens, NY was arrested for Criminal Trespass in the 2nd degree. Mr. Shook was arraigned by Judge Michael Conway and remanded to Rensselaer County Jail without bail. Ms. David was arraigned and released on her own recognizance. Temporary orders of protection were also issued by the Judge. Both suspect's next appearance dates will be on January 7th 2014 at 6:30 PM in Village of Nassau Court.

Offering a false instrument for filing/Criminal Impersonation Arrest

On 12/23/2013 at approximately 5:56 PM Misty R Jacquard of Voorheesville, New York was arrested for the felony of Offering a false instrument for filing in the 1st degree, the misdemeanors of Criminal Impersonation in the 2nd degree, Identity theft in the 3rd degree, making a false written statement and the violation of consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle. Ms. Jacquard was arrested by Nassau Police at Montgomery County Jail on an arrest warrant stemming from an incident that took place in the village back in May 2013 where she was a passenger on a motor vehicle stop and used a name of another. On that stop she was issued a ticket for consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle under the name she provided. She then signed and mailed in the ticket to the Village of Nassau Court using the false name. In September 2013 Ms. Jacquard was arrested on charges out of Albany County for a similar incident where she provided a false name which led officers to determine she did also in May 2013 in the Village of Nassau. Ms. Jacquard was arraigned by Judge Michael Conway and released on $1,500 bond. Ms. Jacquard's next appearance will be on 01/07/2014 at 6:30 PM.


Felony DWI - Leandra's Law Arrest

On December 7th 2013 at approximately 8:53 PM officers arrested 57 year old Anthony Young of Nassau, New York on Malden Street in the Village of Nassau for Felony Aggravated DWI under Leandras law. Officers observed Mr. Young fail to dim his headlights on Albany Avenue. Upon stopping the vehicle it was observed there was a juvenile passenger in the vehicle, a 14 year old. Mr. Youngs BAC was 0.09%, he faces the following charges:

VTL 1192-2AB Aggravated DWI: With a Child as passenger less 16 years old Class E Felony
VTL 1192-2 DWI per se; .08% or more of alcohol in blood Misdemeanor
VTL 1192-3 DWI Misdemeanor
VTL 375-3 Fail to dim headlights - Traffic Infraction

Mr Young was arraigned in the Village of Nassau Court by the Honorable Judge Michael Conway and released on his own recognizance. Mr. Young's next court appearance will be 1/7/2014 at 6:30 PM.

Bad Check / Petit Larceny Arrest

On December 4th 2013 at approximately 5:30 PM Christopher G. Stevens of Berlin, NY was charged with 2 counts of Issuing a Bad Check and 2 counts of Petit Larceny. Mr. Stevens was arrested then arraigned by Judge Conway and released on his own recognizance. Mr. Stevens next appearance will be in Nassau Village Court on 1/7/2014 at 6:30 pm.
