Offering a false instrument for filing/Criminal Impersonation Arrest

On 7/9/2014 at approximately 6:00 PM Tanika Curry of Pittsfield, MA was arrested for the felony of Offering a false instrument for filing in the 1st degree, the misdemeanors of Criminal Impersonation in the 2nd degree, Identity theft in the 3rd degree, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the second degree and the traffic infraction of Operating a motor vehicle while using a portable electronic device. Ms. Curry turned herself into the Nassau Police stemming from an incident that took place in the village back in April 2014 where she used the name of another person while on a traffic stop. On that stop she was issued a ticket for Operating a motor vehicle while using a portable electronic device and Aggravated Unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the 3rd degree under the name she provided. She then signed a bail receipt using the false name. Ms. Curry was arraigned by Judge Michael Conway and released on her own recognizance. Ms. Curry's next appearance will be on 8/5/2014 at 6:30 PM.
