Felony Drug/Weapon/Obstruction/Resisting Arrest

On October 28th 2017 at approximately 9:41 PM 21 year old Justin Morse of North Bennington, VT was arrested for Felony Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 4th degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th degree, 2 counts of Obstruction of Governmental Administration and Resisting Arrest after a traffic stop. Mr. Morse was a stopped for speeding on Church Street. He was in possession of over 3 pounds of several individually packaged candies containing concentrated cannabis, a dangerous knife, and $8,014 dollars cash. A female passenger was observed in the front seat was suffering an apparent drug overdose. Officers requested Fire Rescue and EMS to respond to the scene. The arrested subject attempted to prevent officers from rendering aid, pinning an officers arm in the window of the vehicle and refusing to open the door. The arrested subject was removed from the vehicle then became combative with officers and was subsequently subdued by use of a TASER. The female was rendered aid and transported to the hospital. Mr. Morse was arraigned in the Nassau Village Court by Acting Judge Mark Greenburg and released on $3,000 bond. His next appearance in Nassau Village Court will be on 11/14/2017 at 6:30PM.
